Seminar on Research Methodology

This seminar aims to support the students in the conceptualisation, preparation and development of their Master’s thesis. It discusses how to generate research questions, employing theoretical approaches, designing research, choosing the right methodology, identifying and assessing sources, using data and evidence, and the principles of academic integrity. The seminar is designed as a compulsory component of students’ methodological training and as direct support for the preparation of the Master’s thesis.

By the end of the course, students will have a clear understanding of the basics of research design, including selecting the appropriate theoretical frameworks, and applying research techniques in preparation for their MA thesis.
