Le Centre de recherche Union européenne-Chine a été établi de 2014 à 2020 grâce au soutien financier du Fonds Baillet Latour. La Chaire Baillet Latour des Relations Union européenne-Chine (2008-2020), collaborait étroitement avec le Centre. La Chaire et le Centre faisaient tous deux partie du Département de relations internationales et études diplomatiques de l’Union européenne du Collège d’Europe à Bruges.
