Migration Policies and International Cooperation Study Track

Mobility is a natural phenomenon of the modern world. The EU, as a normative power, needs to manage mobility in compliance with international legal obligations. Mobility across, to and from Europe is shaped by historical, economic, developmental, political, societal and climate-induced relations. In addition to offering advanced scientific insights in migration studies, the track examines the history and state of relations with the EU's Eastern and Southern neighbourhoods, security and legal dimensions including conflicts, democratic backsliding, and human rights, and contemporary stressors such as climate change, poverty, and structural inequalities.
