Study trips are an integral part of the Natolin academic offer. They constitute a unique opportunity to acquire, assess, and confront local knowledge through the prism of the multiple impacts of the EU integration process and EU external relations. They also provide invaluable field experience and acquaint students with the cultural and historical heritage of the countries visited, confronting their previous experience with the viewpoints of local policy-makers, academics, journalists and NGO representatives directly involved in the issues on the ground.
There are two week-long study trips each year. The first semester study trips are centred on the theme of "borderlands". Observing and analysing the particularities of this concept helps students to understand many important processes of cooperation between people and groups in the context of globalization and Europeanization
In the second semester, students embark upon theme-specific field trips devised according to Natolin’s specialisations and current geopolitical developments.
Study trips are tailor-made and vary every year depending on academic priorities and external circumstances.
The map on the right presents all countries visited so far in the framework of the Natolin Study Trips.
