Artificial intelligence is no longer a technology of the future. It is already changing how we study, work, communicate, make decisions, and understand the world around us. Its impact reaches far beyond generative AI tools: it is transforming politics, public administration, the economy, security, media, and democratic debate.
The AI, Society and Politics Nest invites students to explore these changes together with experts and practitioners, while also learning how to use AI tools critically, responsibly, and effectively.
In 2026-2027, the Nest will examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping European societies and institutions. Alongside expert discussions, students will work in teams on a selected policy challenge, using AI to support research, analysis, scenario-building, and the development of practical solutions. AI will be treated as a tool—not as a substitute for independent judgement, source verification, and critical thinking.
The Nest will offer opportunities to engage with experts, take part in discussions and practical exercises, and develop a concrete policy-oriented project.
