First Semester
During the first semester of the European Political and Governance Studies students have the opportunity to gain deeper insights into a specific EU institution by selecting one of the first semester optional courses on EU institutions, bodies, and administration.

Second Semester
The second semester of the European Political and Governance Studies programme kicks off with the second phase of the Simulation Game, where students engage in a real negotiation of an EU legislative proposal. Students also have the opportunity to specialize in an area of their interest and choose three courses from the following clusters:

Students must follow one course from the Interdepartmental European Advanced Studies (IDEAs) per semester.
