Internship/Professional Engagement in European Transformation and Integration

In the second semester, students complete a mandatory one-week internship in European transformation and integration. The module does not carry ECTS credits, but it constitutes an integral and compulsory part of the study programme.

The internship includes a minimum of 20 hours of active engagement with a host organisation approved by the Department, as well as preparatory work and a short final reflective assignment.

It is conceived as a structured form of non-remunerated professional engagement and academic service learning, enabling students to apply the knowledge acquired in the programme in support of partner organisations and public-interest initiatives related to European transformation, European cooperation and EU accession processes. It also allows them to better understand the practical challenges of European integration, enlargement, governance and public policy transformation.
