Pablo Marchal Jiménez is Academic Assistant in the Department of European Economic Studies at the College of Europe, where he supports the organization of academic activities and contributes to the Department’s teaching and research environment.
He holds a Master of Science in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe and a Double Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Málaga. His academic work has focused on European financial integration, banking, financial stability and quantitative economic analysis, with particular interest in the Banking Union, credit markets and European economic governance.
Prior to joining the College of Europe, Pablo worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Málaga and as Finance and Accounting Officer within a private wealth management group, gaining experience in applied research, data analysis, financial reporting and investment-related activities.
Research interests: European financial integration, Banking Union, financial stability, banking regulation, credit markets, applied econometrics, quantitative methods and European economic governance.
