A five-day retreat designed for professionals who manage teams or are moving to a management position for the first time in their careers.
Throughout the five days, participants will go through a learning path that starts with a reflection on themselves and where they want to arrive, their own growth plan. A series of interconnected modules will address the following:
- Reflections on weaknesses and strengths
- Stakeholder analysis
- Impactful team communication skills
- Emotional intelligence skills
- Leadership skills for stronger teams
- Multi-party negotiation skills
The modules will be very practical. Participants will be required to actively engage in the conversation and exercises.
Participants will have the option to purchase individual coaching sessions in order to continue the learning journey after the course.
The course has been built upon the direct and longstanding experience of the College of Europe Executive Education office in designing and delivering advanced training for professionals (notably EU staff, diplomats posted in Brussels, public affairs consultancies, law firms) on leadership skills, communication skills, negotiation skills, critical thinking and foresight.
Through this programme, participants will have an opportunity to:
- Understand how the workplace has changed and what team members expect from their managers.
- Acquire diversity, equality and inclusion foundations.
- Develop strategies and plans for stakeholder engagement.
- Enhance teamwork in their organisation.
- Be more effective and persuasive in intra and inter organisational negotiations.
- Acquire skills to solve problems in a collaborative way.
- Show empathy and understanding in teams.
- Critically reflect on their own approach to collaboration and cooperation with others and identify their strengths and weaknesses.
- Develop a long-lasting self-reflection attitude towards their collaborative skills and engage in a growth/development plan.
- Adopt an inclusive approach towards teamwork, collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
